| Hello Google Maps Customer, We're writing to let you know we updated our Controller-Controller Data Protection Terms for Google Maps Platform on January 23, 2023. What do you need to know? The updates to our Protection Terms are the result of the adoption by the UK of the International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) Addendum and changes to several US state's privacy laws. You can review the specific updates to each country below: - For the US:

- From March 2022, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) Addendum allows the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to be used for transfers of personal data under the UK GDPR.
- We removed the previously required UK specific Standard Contractual Clauses as they are no longer necessary.
- You can review Google Maps Platform's SCCs.
These updates won't affect your use of other Google products or services as they will only apply to Google Maps Platform. What do you need to do? No action is required on your part.
