Hi startuphome, I have two quick updates for you today. First off, Apple has recently launched Safari 16. This new version doesn't require you to install a P12 certificate to collect web push subscribers. With previous versions, you HAD to install a P12 certificate. Otherwise, the subscription popup modals wouldn't even show up for site visitors using Safari. So, if you see a sudden spike in your subscribers, check out the browsers. It's likely that the new ones are from Safari 16! We're also launching a revamped WordPress plugin in the next quarter. What does this mean? In all honesty, most push notification plugins for WordPress are horrible. Absolutely horrible. Most of the WordPress plugins for push notifications are simply meant to connect your site to another dashboard. In simple terms, the plugins help with installing push notifications on your site. But not much more. With our upcoming WordPress plugin, we're going to change the game. You will be able to do EVERYTHING you can on the PushEngage dashboard... But from inside your WordPress dashboard! Awesome, right? Right now, we're testing the plugin and we'll be ready for rollout real soon. Just thought you'd like the heads up. That's all for this one! Stay tuned for more. Love and luck, Nirvana Guha Product Educator at PushEngage | |
